Fairview Welcome
Enjoy the hospitality and natural beauty of Fairview during your visit to Northwestern Alberta. Experience the beautiful Cummings Lake Trail, Campground, and Recreation Area. Our retail and service centres will satisfy all your travel needs.
This year, we, in partnership with M.D. 136, Clear Hills County and Grande Prairie Regional College are proud to be hosting the Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games. This is the largest event we have ever hosted, and we are the smallest and most northerly community the Games has ever approved. We are excited to show off the beauty and hospitality of the North Peace!
Golf, museums, fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing are just a few of the activities available to visitors. Thank you for visiting Fairview, the Heart of the Peace.
Gordon MacLeod, Mayor of Fairview
Peace River Welcome
The Town of Peace River welcomes you!
Mayor Mann’s passion for northern Alberta and his hometown is as well formed as it is infectious. He states with ardour that “few towns can rival the inspiring beauty of Peace River and warmth with which our residents welcome visitors”. His welcome is extended to all, encouraging visitors to be inspired by the many opportunities the Town of Peace River has to offer.
The Town of Peace River has a variety of resources such as a visitors’ centre, a museum, town office and library. If the usual resources are not quite what you are looking for, or you desire an experience unique to Peace River, look no further! As Mayor Mann says “my door is always open – if you are in town and looking for directions, ideas what to do while in town or want to brush up on municipal politics, I am certainly one of the resources available”. Mann’s personal touch and pride in Peace River is characteristic of the openness and warmth exuded by the town.
Make the experience your own – come and be inspired by Peace River.
Lorne G. Mann, Mayor of Peace River
